Proposed solutions for treatment of livestock waste of Lac Thuy farm, Phu Tho province according to the circular economic model

Tóm tắt
The expanding livestock sector generates large volumes of waste, creating significant environmental pressure. Lac Thuy Farm, housing 24,000 pigs, produces substantial daily liquid and solid waste. Implementing waste treatment solutions aligned with a circular economic model is vital to reduce inputs, optimize treatment, and maximize waste reuse. The proposed approach includes separating solid manure before wastewater treatment (using biogas and subsequent biological processes). Separated solids and biogas sludge are composted into organic fertilizer. Treated wastewater is suitable for on-farm reuse like irrigation or cleaning. Biogas serves as renewable energy. This model offers economic and environmental benefits, fostering sustainable development via a closed-loop system.
