Research on the application of digital technology and big data platforms in the integrated planning of urban technical infrastructure systems in Vietnam

: This paper analyzes the role of digital technology and big data in improving the efficiency of modern urban planning. The research methodology combines literature synthesis, analysis of international experiences, case studies in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, as well as expert consultations. The results show that technologies such as GIS, BIM, IoT, and AI, together with Big Data and Digital Twin platforms, support the simulation of current conditions, infrastructure demand forecasting, and optimization of infrastructure management. The study proposes a model for applying digital technology and big data in planning, towards a national integrated data system, and at the same time makes recommendations to improve the legal framework and develop digital human resources to promote digital transformation in urban planning in Vietnam.
